John Cattle Interview

Its going to be weird asking myself questions, so i'm just going to tell y'all some stuff instead.
I've been skating for over 20 years and i'm still loving it.
Like to skate pretty much anything out there but mostly what most other people wouldn't look twice at.....
shitty spots are a passion of mine, as you'll probably see from my photos and footage.
I started Wight Trash, properly, in 2005 - got a team together, made some boards, shirts and stickers.
Finally got my dream team in 2007, which included old friends such as, Greg Nowik, Flynn Trotman and Chris Atherton.
And now we have our new edition rider Matt ' Boyo' Williams, who in my mind is one of the best skateboarders of this time.
At present one old friend illudes me - Alex Moul
- but you may see him soon as a guest rider on Wight Trash and that will be, to me, the final high of this nutty adventure.
Also in the team are my long time Isle of Wight buddies, Sam Gryzb, Toby Booth and Jaymie Sawyer.
These guys are amazing and its always rad to hook up, go film, travel or shoot some photos.
Which brings me to the rest of the Wight Trash team ( photographers, filmers, graffix, and tech support )
- our I.O.W. crew includes -
Tomsy , James & Simon Ioannou , Zippy , D.A.R.Y.L , Jack Phoenix , Jim & Rob Homes , Island CD and Cliff Church.
- our mainland crew are -
( Our sticker god ), Don Brider aka The Donz , Big Bird , Jerome , Louis Gane and George Nevin.
The Isle of Wight is a crazy diverse place that has seen the first testing of ballistic missile engines that then went on to help the first satelite into space and the Apollo Space Program put people on the moon
- It had the most influencial Rock Festival of a generation and is now reviving this with its new festivals,
Is a home to David Icke, Mark King, Jet Harris, Leonard Cramp ( R.I.P ), Jackson Analogue, The Bees, Jeremy Irons, along with many other thinkers, musicians, inventors, writers, actors and artists.
The towns of Sandown and Shanklin towns regularly top the British sunshine league due to our sub tropical temperatures and the Red squirrels have a haven here to breed and breed and breed.
There's so much more but i'll leave it to you to google the Isle of Wight, if you so wish.
I love it here on this sunny diamond, and enjoy it daily with my wife Fran and children Roscoe and Cleo.
My sponsors are Wight Trash, Death Wheels, Duffs and Revolver Skateshop.
Wight Trash's first full length video, DANG! , is in production now and has a release date of 2010
